Breaking dawn
Oh marvelous Light that dances softly through Your skies
Oh glorious hour in which I wake in Your embrace to testify:
You and I, we made it.
We waded through, You as my guide.
Gaping dusk!
Oh shameless spear that entered boldly through my chest
Oh dreaded hour in which I’d wake, bathed in the tears that called my rest
But You and I, we made it.
We waded through, You as my guide.
Take this day!
This Holy moment, woven by your flawless hands,
Is meant to send me searching, finding, acting by Your perfect plan.
You and I, we made it.
We made it through, You as my guide.
You and I, we’ll make it.
You, my shepherd. I, Your bride.
That is very good! You'll go far as a writer. Best of luck to ya.
Pretty good. As always when I workshop poems I'd recommend reading it aloud to see where some words might be able to be removed. I didn't trip up while reading this one though, so I think you're doing pretty well there. I did like the subject matter. It was interesting. I think you've got tallant.
